Transfer iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts”
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account on a computer connected to the Internet, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. After the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, perform one of the following steps:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Lava A77 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Lava A77 via the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
