Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the YU smartphone.

  1. Connect the smartphone to your computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync is done, switch to the YU smartphone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to “Contacts” and select the desired contact
  4. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Another way to transfer iPhone contacts is to use third party apps that don’t require access to a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts over email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the vCard is created, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desire transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
