Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the YU smartphone.
- Connect the smartphone to your computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the YU smartphone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the desired contact
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Another way to transfer iPhone contacts is to use third party apps that dont require access to a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts over email.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is created, tap Email
- Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desire transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
