Transfer iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with the Google account you want to use or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and register the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Lava Z60 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an app for iOS which can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup. This will create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- Once the backup file is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the attached vCard
- Import the vCard using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
