Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data and contacts with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Set the account so that it can sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to the phonebook using Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard file containing your contacts
  3. Once the file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device and open the email
  7. Download the vCard attachment and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for transferring contacts without computer access. The App uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform.

  1. Visit the App Store and install the app on the iPhone
  2. Access the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Tap “Send” and lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices
