Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you an sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer and go to “Info”
  3. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an Internet connection and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the PC
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard is created, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your Google account via Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your contacts
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android phone and open the email
  7. Download the vCard and import its contents to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts cross-platform without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Select the desired transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
