Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu and sign in with a Google account for syncing. Alternatively, click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded on the computer:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Tap Email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and vCard to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another Android and iOS third party app you can use for sharing your iPhone contacts without computer access, over a peer-to-peer connection.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
