Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then you can sync the account data including contacts with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the PC and click the iPhone
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync completes, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import its content to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Alternatively to the methods above, you can also share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of y our iPhone contacts
- After the vCard is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
