Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the desired audio files on the computer storage
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” or “Ringtone” directory
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access “Sound & Notification”
  3. Select the desired ringtone
  4. Tap “OK”
  5. Optionally, turn “Also vibrate for calls” ON or OFF

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap and hold the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  4. Select the ringtone you want to assign and press “OK”

Change the Notification Alert Sound:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap “Default notification ringtone”
  4. Select the notification sound you want to set
  5. Tap “OK”
