    Back Up and Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Backup & reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, passwords, and settings to be automatically restored when signing in with the backup account or when reinstalling applications

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type
    4. Select the desired account to use for backup
    5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: You can restore contacts by syncing them with the device the next time you log in with the backup account, or by manually syncing the contacts with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    4. After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate or the “Media” directory
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the USB port
