Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone and access “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing one
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync completes, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file which can then be imported on the Android device.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  7. After the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contact Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts in vCard format.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email to your own address
  5. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without needing computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both phones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts” and select the desired contacts
  5. Tap “Send” and then select a transfer method on one of the phones
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
