Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the transfer is done, log in with the same account on the Android phone and set the account to sync contacts with the device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can export them in a vCard file on a computer with Internet access. Then you can import the vCards contents to your Android device.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import them to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share your iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- After the file is done, send it to your own email address as an attachment
- Switch to the Android device and open the email
- Download the vCard and import it to your Androids phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app on Android and iOS you can use for contact transfer. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transfer
