Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Navigate to the audio files on the computer
- Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and Notifications folder
- After the process is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open Settings
- Access Sound & Notification
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
- Optionally, enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phones internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Tap and hold the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap Edit > Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Press OK
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Launch Settings
- Access Sound & Notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone
- Select the desired notification alert
- Tap OK to confirm
