Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the process completes, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the process completes perform one of the following steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, you can also share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the vCard attachment to your own email address
- On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the app on the Android device via the Play Store
- Open the app on both phones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts then tap Send
- Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
