Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Device” > “Battery”
  3. Tap “Menu”
  4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
  2. In the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Launch “Settings” and access “Display”
  4. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
  5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value such as “15 seconds”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off, like Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, when not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
  2. Tap the “Bluetooth” “Wi-Fi” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features Off
  3. Launch “Settings” and access “Location”
  4. Tap “mode’ and select “Battery saving”
  5. Go back to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
  6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile hotspot”

Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
  3. Go to “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
  4. Select “2G”

Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Third-party apps can perform background processes regularly, and this can potentially affect battery life in the long run. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you might be able to improve battery life.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Apps’
  3. Switch to “Downloaded” or “All apps”
  4. Select the desired app
  5. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop”
  6. Tap “Uninstall”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps/accounts/

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
  3. Select the desired account
  4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “About phone”
  3. Tap “System updates”
  4. Check if new updates are available
  5. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and install the update
