Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings
- Go to Export vCard
- Follow one of these steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use to back up and share contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install the app on the iPhone
- Open the app
- Create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the vCard to your own email address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use for contact transfer on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts without access to a computer.
- Install the app on the iPhone via the App Store
- Install the app on the Android phone from the Play Store
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts and select the desired transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
