Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Battery” > “Battery optimization”
  4. Select an app to optimize it
  5. Additionally, you can tap “Menu” and turn “Advanced optimization” ON

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. In the notification area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Launch “Settings”
  4. Go to “Display” > “Advanced”
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use, in order to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “GPS (Location)” quick toggles to turn the features off
  3. To disable Wi-Fi, tap and hold the toggle and set the switch Off
  4. For additional options, open “Settings”
  5. Access “Network & Internet” > “Hotspot & Tethering”
  6. Tap “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and set the switch Off

Uninstall Third-Party Applications:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. To remove third-party apps:

  1. Swipe up on the home screen from the bottom
  2. Open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications”
  3. Switch to “See all apps” if needed
  4. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. On the home screen, swipe up from the bottom
  2. Launch “Settings” > “System”
  3. Tap “System update” > “Check for update”
  4. If updates are available, follow the prompts to download and apply them
