Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the apps cache or data. WARNING: when clearing the apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid this, clear ONLY the app cache.
- Swipe up from the home screen
- Open Settings
- Go to Apps & Notifications > All apps
- Select the desired app and access Storage
- Tap Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data (check the WARNING above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:
NOTE: Before you factory reset the device, ensure youve backed up all of your data.
- Launch Settings
- Go to System > Reset options
- To reset network settings, access Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset settings two times for confirmation
- To reset app settings, go to Reset app preferences and tap Reset apps
- To factory reset the device, tap Erase all data (factory reset) > Reset phone > Erase Everything
Unisntall Apps from Safe Mode:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power
- From the pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- Wait for the device to finish rebooting and once done, it should show a Safe Mode watermark in the lower area of the home screen
- To remove an app, open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps if necessary
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, press and hold Power and select Restart from the pop-up
