Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try solving these issues by clearing the apps cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an apps data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted, including custom settings, user profiles, login data etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the apps cache.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
- Open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps
- Select the desired app and tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:
NOTE: Before factory resetting the device, ensure youve backed up all of your data.
- Open Settings
- Access System
- Tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, go to Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times
- To reset app settings, access Reset app preferences and tap Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone
- Tap Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power
- From the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- Wait for the phone to finish rebooting and you should see a Safe Mode watermark on the home screen
- Open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps if needed
- Select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, press and hold Power and reboot the phone normally
