Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If an app causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the apps cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an apps data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted, such as user profiles, custom settings, login data etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the apps cache.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
- Launch settings
- Go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps if necessary
- Select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:
NOTE: Before factory resetting the phone, make sure youve backed up all of your data.
- Launch Settings and go to System
- Tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, access Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times to confirm
- To reset app settings, tap Reset app preferences and tap Reset apps
- To factory reset the device, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone
- Tap Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled.
- Press and hold Power on the home screen
- Tap and hold Power Off from the power management pop-up
- Wait for the phone to finish rebooting and you should see a Safe Mode watermark in the lower area of the home screen
- Launch Settings
- Go to Apps & Notifications and switch to All apps
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, press and hold Power and reboot the device normally
