    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal”
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Select the desired account
    5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked and tap “more” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media File MTP” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone storage
    4. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media File MTP” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Backing up most of your data is actually easy with Google, but there isn’t yet a one-stop backup method for Android phones through Google. There are different ways to back up your data. MobiKin Assistant for Android, Cloud storage service, etc.
