Clear App Data/Cache:
NOTE: If an app doesnt work as intended or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing the app by clearing its cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, including login details, user profiles, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.
- Open Settings
- Go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps and select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the cache didnt solve the problems, tap Clear data (Check the WARNING above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:
NOTE: Ensure all of your data has been backed up before factory resetting the phone to avoid losing it.
- Open Settings and go to System
- Tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, access Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times to confirm
- To reset app settings, go to Reset app preferences and tap Reset apps
- To factory reset the device, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone > Erase Everything
Remove Apps in Safe Mode:
NOTE: If a third-party application causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps installed on the phone will be disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power and then tap and hold Power off in the power management pop-up
- Wait for the phone to finish rebooting and once done, you should see a Safe Mode watermark in the lower area of the home screen
- Open Settings and then access Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps if needed then select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, reboot the device normally
