What is the best polyphonic enabled phone with color screen that doesn't look like a tv remote control?

from my experience i think that Samsung T-100 and Samsung N620 are the best two phones in poly ring tones because they give the best quality of sound when you hear it than Nokia as an example. You will find the sound loud and mostly pure.

    truthfully,

by far the samsung a500 is the best phone on the market right now ....you can put animated screensavers on it, watch a movie( which is hard as hell , but can be done)& put hella polyphonic ringtones on it , no other phone is competition (in my opinion)
    if i blaze u burn

The advantage of the Samsung phones is that the rendering of the polyphonic gets done by your soundcard (so mmf is basically like mp3 or wav). That gets your better results and more volume control on the handset.

The 7650 sounds superb though - loud - clear (but a bit like a CASIO keyboard).

    Motorola T720 sounds OK

Nokis 3510 sounds thin (if you can hear it but that depends on the Software version, earlier had problems with volume control)

NEC 21i is the same as Samsung (same chip....) but as the loudspeaker is bigger is sounds 'fuller'

Toshiba i-mode phone sounds OK but problems with volume control (not loud enough)

Siemens C55 not tested yet, same for Ericsson t300

    So my overall standings are

    1./ T100 and N620 and NEC 21i (i-mode)
    2./ Nokia 7650
    3./ Motorola T720
    4./ Nokia 3510

    Not rated : C55 and Ericsson T300

Plus the LED/Vibra feature on Samsung are brilliant

Thank u freelander51 . Have you got any software to convert wave/MP3 to MIDI. have one but it gives me bad results, also it's very complicated.
    Thank you in advance

you can not convert (realistically speaking) form MP3->MIDI. The proggies that claim to do so work OK on monophonic tracks but for the rest...the Fourier analysis need would slightly exceed your Pentium...unless you gotta box with four or five Xeons's....

You won't get around a bit of MIDI editing and/or creating ( I am still at the editing stage but learning fast).

The nice thing is that you start learning about Music and all over sudden got a hobby too - composing / sequencing...

I think midi files sound excellant on the Nokia 7650, the only thing I would complain about is that they're often not very loud.

This what i have said before that samsung mobiles are the best in polyringtones because they give you a load voice beside almost pure sound.

Oh. We can't say that this an real disadvantage but the phone is perfect in every thing. It's enough that it is the first phone with a multi colour screen.
