I've compiled a list of comparison data for your viewing. This is courtesy of Mountain Wireless-Cellular Reviews and Ratings. Prices are based off of "per month" unless otherwise stated.

Every wireless carrier, no matter how big or how small, has unlimited plans. Some may fit your needs while others may not.

AT&T Mobility

• $69.99 unlimited minutes including long distance.
• $89.99 for unlimited voice and text/picture/video/instant messaging
• Family plan start at is $119.99 for two lines with just unlimited calling.
• Unlimited GOPhone Prepaid available for $60 per month with unlimited voice and text.
• AT&T coverage stretches nationally. Large on-network coverage with little or no dropped calls.

Verizon Wireless

• $69.99 unlimited minutes including long distance
• $89.99 for unlimited voice and text/picture/video/instant messaging
• Family plans start at $119.99 for two lines with just unlimited calling.
• Unlimited prepaid voice is available for $4 per day only when calls are placed/received. Texting is available for $0.01 per message. Monthly unlimited prepaid is also available for $5 per month more than contract service.
• Superior call quality to all wireless carriers. Provides extensive on-network coverage, and 3G is available throughout all of their coverage area.

Sprint PCS

• $69 unlimited talk to any other cellular phone number. 450 minutes reserved for all other calls to landlines.
• $99 Unlimited everything including web, navigation, talk and text, TV, music, and more.
• 2 lines in family share "everything" for $175.
• Coverage is national and they have extensive roaming agreements with Verizon Wireless and previously Alltel. Future coverage may suffer due to lack of previous Alltel areas.
• Customer service is hard to use and not rated among the best.

T-Mobile

• $49.99 for Unlimited Talk and long distance. No contract required.
• $79.99 for Unlimited Voice, text, web
• Family plans start at $79.99 and include unlimited voice.
• The above information doesn't include a new phone purchase. Contract required for new phone purchase and pricing may differ while under a contract.
• Coverage is national but has many weak spots. Roaming is extensive with AT&T.

Boost Mobile

• $50 for unlimited talk, text, web, long distance, roaming, voice mail, walkie talkie
• iDEN devices use the old Nextel Network while CDMA devices use the Sprint PCS network. Walkie Talkie services unavailable for CDMA devices.
• No Contract Required, Prepaid. NO FAMILY PLANS
• No additional fees or taxes.
• No safety blanket available for damaged devices. No warranties.
• Coverage can change from day to day due to their ALL ROAMING network.

Metro PCS

• $40 Unlimited Talk Minutes, including Caller ID, Voice Mail, Call Waiting, Free Long Distance, Web Browsing and Text Messaging, Roaming in "Extended" areas
• $140 unlimited for a 4-phone family plan ($5 discount per line)
• International Unlimited Long Distance for $5 per month more.
• Prepaid. No added fees or taxes. No contract.
• Phone prices are significantly higher than any other wireless carrier. No phone discounts.
• Coverage is limited to large cities and major interstates/highways.

US Cellular

• $69.99 Unlimited Talk with free nationwide roaming.
• Family plans are $119.99 for first two lines and $50 for each additional.
• Provides regional coverage. Coverage outside of the standard coverage area is considered roaming.

PagePlus

• $40 for Unlimited Talk and Text plus 20MB for data.
• Off network roaming not included but is available for $0.59 per minute.
• An MVNO reseller and uses the Verizon Wireless network, where allowed.
• Prepaid, no contract, no family plans.
• Phones are relatively expensive.
• More dropped calls than Verizon's customers because Verizon customers maintain priority while on towers.

Straight Talk

• $45 for unlimited talk, text, data, and 411 calls
• Uses the entire Verizon Wireless Network. This DOES NOT include the areas in which Verizon Wireless uses another provider's network to offer coverage. This also does not include the areas where Alltel previously provided coverage and Verizon now owns and maintains.
• Prepaid, no contract, and no family plans
• Available at participating Wal-Mart Stores
• Nearly non-existent customer service.

Net10

• $50 unlimited talk, text, web, and 411
• You MUST use a Net10 device.
• Uses the majority of the AT&T on network coverage.
• Prepaid, no contract, no family plans
• Available at select retailers like Target and Wal-Mart.

CriKet

• $25 unlimited talk and text often available in select markets and during some promotions.
• $30 Unlimited Voice Minutes, Caller ID and Roaming in "Extended" areas (No Free Long Distance or other Features)
• $40 Unlimited Voice Minutes, Text to the US & Mexico, US Picture & Video Messaging, Long Distance, Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, 3-Way Calling, Unlimited Web, 411 access, and roaming in all Cricket markets.
• Other plans from $35 to $60.
• $99 Unlimited Family plan: 3 lines with free Voice, Text, US Long Distance and Caller ID (Roaming is extra)
• Cricket plans vary by market. In some places more features are included, and in others the plans are cheaper
• Prepaid, no contract required.
• Coverage is small compared to most other providers (in particular, this carrier is compared to MetroPCS).

GoPhone from AT&T

• $60 for Unlimited Voice and Text
• Available on AT&T On-Network coverage and roaming is not available.
• Prepaid, no contract, and no family plans

Virgin Mobile (to be discontinued)

• $50 unlimited talk (included long distance, but off-network roaming not available)
• $70 for unlimited talk and text
• Uses Sprint PCS network exclusively.
• Prepaid, no contract, no family plans
• Taxes and surcharges extra.

I have Net10 and I got it for 3 reasons. I know it's highly rated. It won the JD Power award for prepaid customer satisfaction. My phone displays how many minutes and days I have left so no nasty surprises, and I got 300 free minutes with my first two months of service. Yes, I had to get a Net10 phone. I got the Samsung 401 with a querty keyboard at Best Buy.

I went with Net10 and cannot believe how much money I'm saving! I read that a survey says prepaid users talk less and I think it's true. Even with ALL calls costing 10c per minute and texts 5c I'm always careful of time spent on the phone! Net10 have a Stunning Samsung T401G with a slide out qwert keyboard which is great for texting which is what I do most! Anyway I'll never go contract again!

Just went online to check my bill. Pure TalkUSA just announced that it is offering unlimited talk and text for $48, tax and all fees included. no contract. looks good to me.

I am into T-Mobile and Verizon services and didn't find any problem yet with the unlimited plan as it is just perfect for me to have this plan for a long time without any problem.

That is expensive. If I were you, I would most likely switch to another provider. I don't usually need to deal with customer service. As soon as your number is ported, and you get comfortable with your new phone, you will probably be fine also.

Unlimited data plan is best option, but one thing unlimited data plan is better on 4G Network... So use 4G Network Carrier and see the difference b/w 3G and 4G.

Hi, not really sure where else to post this. I’ve also posted it on the AT&T forum but have not received a reply, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I recently added a new line to my account. We are both on the same $75 unlimited plan, but there was a warning that our data speeds may slow down after using 50gb of data. I was wondering if that data usage is combined, or if we each get our own 50gb of data usage per month.
