The free ringtone, wallpaper, Java game loader: Webjal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If this doesn't work for you try this:
i870 WebJAL Fix.
Hook up the i870 to the computer via USB
Next go to Control Panel ---> System
When the box pops up go to Hardware ----> Device Manager
Scroll down to where to where you see P2k devices
Single Click the top tier P2k (where the + or - is) basically selecting all P2k devices
Next Right-click the P2k Device and you should see Uninstall
Uninstall the P2k driver, this should uninstall all drivers
Reconnect the USB with the i870
After you re-connect Windows should recognize the i870 as
new Hardware and the New Hardware Found Wizard should pop up
Click Next to get to the next screen
At the bottom select "Manually Install the software"
You should see iDen USB Driver, click that and hit Next
USB driver should install but you are not done yet
Open WebJAL, and there is no p@$$word, just click login, and Connect to the phone
You will see the P2k device found in the bubble and another New Hardware Wizard
Do the same as before but instead the "iDen USB driver" you will see
"P2k1" or some other one choose the one that just says "P2k1"
The P2k1 driver should install and WebJAL should work.
If you cannot find the P2K device try this:
1. Go to www.motorola.com/iden and download the USB drivers.
2. Install the drivers.
3. Plug in the data cable with the 870 attached
4. Install wizard will pop up.
5. Choose install drivers manually and the wizard will choose Motorola iDen USB modem automatically.
6. Install and then start WebJAL.
7. When WebJAL starts and you login and connect to phone a new found hardware window will pop up.
8. Install hardware manually again and the wizard will choose Motorola iDen p2k1 device.
9. Choose next and the hardware should install.
10. Now you are ready to use WebJAL.
