New Treo OS in LATE 2008

The new Linux based OS won't be available till late 2008 now. That's a very long time considering it was supposed to be done by the end of 2007.

whats the true bene to this upcoming OS?

Any idea if it will be ported to the older treos? I'd love to have linux on my 650.

Awesome. I think you'd need a good deal of processing power to make Linux worth running on a phone, though. It wouldn't really be that big of a deal unless you could download apps and everything, so you'd need a lot of storage too.

Hopefully it's similar to the Palm OS now because I just got used to it lol.
