Connecting a Bluetooth Headset:
- Using two fingers, swipe the status bar down to access the "Quick Settings" panel
- If necessary, tap the "Bluetooth" tile to enable Bluetooth
- Tap the " " button associated with the Bluetooth tile
- If you don't see the desired handset in the list, press the "Menu" icon depicting three vertical dots, and tap "Scan" to refresh the list
- Once the desired headset appears in the list, tap its name
- If necessary, provide the headset's passcode. By default the passcode is either "1234" or "0000"
Reconnecting a Bluetooth Headset:
Usually, you can easily reconnect to a headset by switching on Bluetooth on the HTC one max, and then turning the headset on. Nevertheless, if reconnecting doesn't occur, you can do it manually by performing the following:
- Swipe the status bar down using two fingers
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled
- Press the " " button associated with Bluetooth
- Select the headset's name
- If prompted to enter a passcode, try "0000" or "1234"
Unpairing from a Bluetooth Device:
- Swipe the status bar down using two fingers
- If necessary, tap the "Bluetooth" tile to enable Bluetooth
- Tap the " " button associated with Bluetooth
- In the paired devices section, press the "Settings" icon associated with the device that you wish to unpair
- Tap "Unpair"
Receiving Files via Bluetooth:
- Open the "Quick Settings" menu by swiping the status bar down using two fingers
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled, and tap the " " icon associated with it
- Tap your device's Bluetooth name located at the top of the screen. This will make your HTC One max visible to other Bluetooth devices
- On the sending device, send the files to the One max
- On your One max, accept the pairing request from the sending device. If prompted, enter the same passcode or confirm the auto-generated passcode on both devices
- Tap "Pair"
- Once your One max will receive a file transfer request, slide the Notifications panel down, and tap the incoming notification
- Tap "Accept"
- When the transfer is finished, a new notification will be displayed, in the Notifications panel
NOTE: depending on the file type that you've received:
- Media files and documents will most likely be directed to their compatible applications
- For vCalendar files, select the calendar where you wish to save the event and tap "Import"
- For vCard contact files, choose to import one or more contacts from the list
Where is the Sent Information Sent on a PC:
When sending information to your PC using Bluetooth, the files will be saved in the following folders (by default):
- On Windows XP, the path should be: C: \ Documents and Settings \ [your username] \ My Documents \ Bluetooth Exchange
- On Windows Vista, the path is usually: C: \ Users \ [your username] \ Documents
- On Windows 7, the path should be: C: \ Users \ [your username] \ Documents \ Bluetooth Exchange Folder
- On Windows 8: C: \ Users \ [your username] \ Documents
