HTC Sync Manger is a computer program that allows you to view and manage media on your device through your computer, create backups, transfer content, sync playlist and data, and more.

Installing HTC Sync Manger on Your Computer:

  1. Using your computer's Internet browser, visit www.htc.com/hsm/ and download the HTC Sync Manger installer
  2. Launch the downloaded file and install HTC Sync Manager on your computer by following the on-screen instructions
  3. After the installation process is complete, connect your HTC One max to your computer using the USB cable that came with your handset. The HTC Sync Manager should automatically launch once it detects your smartphone

Transferring iPhone Content to the HTC One max using HTC Sync Manager:

  1. Connect both your iPhone and your HTC One max to your computer
  2. In HTC Sync manager, click "Home" > "Transfer & Backup"
  3. Click "Get Started"
  4. If you haven't done so already, use iTunes to create a backup of your iPhone content
  5. Click "Next", select your iPhone backup file and click "OK"
  6. Select the content that you wish to transfer to your HTC and click "Start"

Copying or Removing Media on Your Phone:

  1. Connect your handset to the computer
  2. Click an item to select it
  3. To select multiple media files for transfer perform one of the following:
    • Select several items: In windows, hold "CTRL" and click each item. On Mac, hold "Command" and click each item
    • Select all items: On Windows, press "CTRL" + "A". On Mac, press "Command" + "A"
    • Select consecutive items: Hold down "Shift" and click the first and last item. Alternatively, drag the mouse cursor over the range of items that you wish to select
  4. Click either the "Copy the selected media to your phone" icon depicting a phone next to a "+" symbol, or, to remove the selected media from the phone, click the icon depicting a phone next to a "-" symbol

Importing All Media (Music, Videos and Photos) From Your Phone:

  1. Connect your HTC One max to your computer
  2. If your handset has an SD card, click "Home" > "Sync Settings" and select the location from where you wish to import files
  3. To import music, click "Music" > "Settings" and select "Copy all music from phone"
  4. To import all videos and photos, click "Gallery" > "Settings" > "Automatically import photos and videos from phone"
  5. Click the "Refresh" button if this is the first time to batch import. You can allow HTC Sync Manager to automatically import files and sync data next time, by clicking "Home" > "Sync Settings" and selecting "Sync automatically whenever the phone connects"

Importing Documents from your Computer to Your Phone:

  1. Connect your One max to your computer
  2. Select between the phone's storage or the SD card by clicking "Home" > "Sync Settings"
  3. Click "Files" > "Sync Settings"
  4. Select the "Sync documents from the following location on this computer" option
  5. Click "Add" and select the folder that contains the documents that you wish to import
  6. Click the "Refresh" button if this is the first time importing documents

Data and Application Syncing With HTC Sync Manger

HTC Sync Manger can sync contacts, calendar events, bookmarks and more, between your Windows or Mac computer and your phone.

On the Windows platform, HSM can sync with Outlook 2003 or later, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. On a Mac, HSM can sync with Apple Contacts, Apple Adress Book, Calendar, Apple iCal, Outlook 2011 for Mac, Safari and Google Chrome

Syncing Data Between Your Phone and Computer:

  1. Connect your phone to your PC
  2. Click "Home" > "Sync settings"
  3. Mark the check boxes associated with the type of data that you wish to sync
  4. Click "Settings" on different data types to customize the sync settings
  5. Click "Refresh" if this is the first time syncing. To allow HTC Sync Manager to automatically sync your data next time, click "Home" > "Sync settings" > "Sync automatically whenever the phone connects"

Syncing Playlists Between Your Phone and Computer:

HSM can sync iTunes and Windows Media Player playlists between your phone and computer. To do so:

  1. Connect your phone to your computer
  2. In HSM, click "Home" > "Sync settings" and select whether you wish to sync using the phone's storage or the SD card
  3. Click "Music" > "Settings" > "Sync selected playlist"
  4. Select the desired playlist
  5. Click the "Refresh" button
