Managing Contacts

Adding a New Contact:

  1. Tap the "Applications" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "People"
  3. Swipe to the "People" tab and press the "+" button
  4. Enter the contact's name in the appropriate field
  5. Select the desired contact type, such as "SIM", "Phone" or "Google"
  6. Tap the "MOBILE" field and change the type of phone number if necessary
  7. Type in the phone number in the "Phone" field
  8. Add an email address if necessary, and provide any additional details as you see fit
  9. When ready, tap "Save"

Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:

  1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap the "Menu" icon
  3. Select "Speed dial"
  4. Tap the "Add" icon and select the desired contact. NOTE: you can use the "Search" field
  5. Under "Number", tap the button and select the phone number to assign
  6. Tap the button under "Location" and select a speed dial number
  7. Tap "Save"

Deleting Contacts:

  1. Tap the "Applications" icon while on the home screen
  2. Launch the "People" app and swipe to the "People" tab
  3. Press the "Menu" icon and tap "Delete contacts"
  4. Mark the contacts that you wish to delete
  5. Tap "Delete"

Importing / Exporting Contacts

Importing Contacts from the SIM Card:

  1. Launch the "People" app and access the "People" tab
  2. Tap the "Menu" icon and select "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Select "Import from SIM card"
  5. Assuming that you have a Google or Exchange ActiveSync account, select the type for the imported contacts
  6. Mark the contacts that you wish to import
  7. Tap "Save"

Exporting Contacts to the SIM Card:

  1. From the "People" app, access the "People" tab
  2. Press the "Menu" icon and select "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Select "Export to SIM card"
  5. Mark the contacts that you wish to export and tap "Save"

Importing Contacts from the SD Card:

  1. Open the apps drawer and launch the "People" app
  2. Access the "People" tab and press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Tap "Import from SD card"
  5. Assuming that you have more than one account, select the desired type of account for the contacts
  6. Select the backup file that you wish to import and tap "OK"
  7. If necessary, type in the password set for the backup file, and press "OK"

Export Contacts to the SD Card:

  1. From the "People" app, swipe to the "People" tab
  2. Tap the "Menu" button and select "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "Import / Export contacts" > "Export to SD card"
  4. Choose an account
  5. Tap "Yes" if you wish to set up a password for the backup file. Otherwise, tap "No"
  6. Tap "OK" to confirm

Importing Contacts from the Storage:

  1. Access the "People" tab from the "People" application
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts"
  3. Select "Import from phone storage"
  4. Choose the account you wish to use for importing the contacts
  5. Select the desired vCard file and tap "OK"
  6. If necessary, enter the password for the file and press "OK"

Exporting Contacts to the Phone Storage:

  1. Launch the "People" app
  2. Go to the "People" tab
  3. Press "Menu" and tap "Manage Contacts"
  4. Select "Import / Export contacts" > "Export to phone storage"
  5. Select either "SIM", "Phone" or "Google" (if available)
  6. In the "Confirm export" pop-up, tap "OK"

Managing Groups

Creating a Group:

  1. Launch the "People" application
  2. Swipe to the "Groups" tab
  3. Press the "+" button
  4. Enter a name for your group and tap "Save"

Adding Contacts to an Existing Group:

  1. Launch the "People" app and swipe to the "Groups" tab
  2. Press the "+" button at the top-right corner of the screen
  3. Mark the contacts that you wish to add. NOTE: you can use the "Search" function
  4. When ready, tap "Save"

Editing Groups:

  1. From the "Groups" tab in the "People" app, tap and hold the desired group
  2. Tap "Edit group"
  3. Change the group's name if desired
  4. To add contacts, tap "Menu" > "Add contact to group"
  5. You can rearrange group members by dragging the three-bar icon to the right of each contact
  6. To remove a member, mark it
  7. Tap "Save"

NOTE: You can also edit groups by going to the "Groups" tab, tapping "Menu" and tap "Edit group". There, you can rearrange groups (not group members), and delete groups (except for default ones)
