Restore App Data:

  1. Ensure your phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
  2. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  3. Access “Settings”
  4. Tap “Backup and reset” under “Personal”
  5. Tap “Restore from HTC Backup”
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the restore

Restore Contacts:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & sync”
  3. If necessary, register the Google account you used for backing up the contacts
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync all”

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the One M9s to your computer via USB
  2. Drag the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device” or “disk drive” is enabled
  3. Open an Explorer window on the PC
  4. Locate the media files backed up on your computer
  5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray
  7. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB

Restore Media Files from a Mac:

  1. Connect the One M9s to your Mac using the USB cord
  2. Make sure the device is connected as “Media device” or “disk drive”
  3. Launch the file explorer on the Mac and locate the media file backups
  4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
  5. After the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive into the “Trash can” icon to eject it
  6. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
