Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: In case you have iTunes installed on your computer with Internet access, you can use the app to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data with the HTC One A9s.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Once it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes to access the devices summary page
- Access the Info tab
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account if applicable
- Click Apply to start the sync, and once the sync is done, switch to the HTC One A9s
- Register the same Google account on the HTC device and allow it to sync contacts
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account using a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account, and access Contacts
- Mark the check boxes associated with the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Wait for the vCard to be downloaded, and once done, follow one of the steps below:
- Import the vCard to Google Contacts, or alternatively:
- Connect the HTC device to your phone via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage, and use People to import the file to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The two methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, but alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the phone
- Open the application and tap Backup
- Wait for the vCard backup file to be created and then tap Email
- Make sure the backup file is attached to the new email and send the email to your own address
- Switch to the HTC One A9s, open the email, and download the vCard attachment
- Import the file via People
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app for Android and iOS which can be used to transfer contacts without a computer .The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types, even cross-platform.
- Open the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the HTC One A9s
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Select a transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the HTC device, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
