The HTC Merge is already headed to Alltel in where pre-orders has already been taken place and now it is Cellular South's turn to get their hands on the HTC Merge. The HTC Merge will be Cellular South's first Android based world phone and will become available sometime in April.
Cellular South's HTC Merge will come pre-installed with the Amazon Appstore, which is the first that an Android handset has shipped with the Amazon app. Maybe this will be an advantage for Cellular South in which they may see sale increase due to the pre-installation of the Amazon Appstore.
Although you will have to sign a new 2 year contract agreement with Cellular South, price of the phone has not been announced. A data plan will be required to purchase this particular handset.
Features will include: a 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 5 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
