You might find it a bit difficult to transfer contacts from your iPhone to the HTC One Mini, but once you'll follow one of the guides below, you'll see that it's not that difficult at all. Each of the methods below has its own advantages, so choose whichever guide you prefer.
Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:
- On your computer's Internet browser, go to www.icloud.com
- Sign in with your iCloud account and click "Contacts"
- In the list of contacts, select the one(s) that you wish to export
- Click the cog-wheel icon and select "Export vCard"
- After the downloading process is complete, you will have a VCF file containing the selected contacts
- Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts"
- Alternatively, you can connect your HTC One Mini to your computer using the USB cable, and then copy the VCF file to your phone's "/sdcard" directory. After that, open the "People" app, go to the "People" tab, tap the "Menu" icon > "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts" > "Import from SD card"
Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:
- Launch iTunes on your computer. (If necessary, visit the official Apple website and download the iTunes client)
- Connect your iPhone to your computer using the proprietary USB cable
- After your iPhone is connected, it should appear in iTunes. Click on the device to open its summary page
- Go to the "Info" tab
- Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With" and click "Google Contacts" in the drop-down list
- Enter your Google account log in credentials. If you've already set a Google account before, click "Configure" and select the desired one
- Click "Apply" and wait for iTunes to sync the contacts from your iPhone to the Google account
- On your HTC One Mini, log in with the same Google account if you haven't done so already. If you need to add the account, access the "Settings" menu and go to "Accounts"
- Allow the Google account to sync the contacts to your One Mini
Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:
- Use your iPhone to visit the App Store, and download the "My Contacts Backup" app
- Open the application and tap "Backup". This will create a backup containing your current iPhone contacts
- After the process is complete, tap "Email"
- Enter your own Gmail address as the recipient, and send the email containing the VCF file attached to it
- On your HTC One Mini, open the email containing the VCF file, and download it to import the contacts
Using the "Bump" Application to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:
NOTE: the Bump app makes use of cloud computing in order to transfer the files from one phone to another. As such, an active Internet connection is required on both smartphones
- On your iPhone, visit the App Store and install "Bump"
- Use your HTC One Mini to access the Play Store, and download > install the "Bump" application
- Launch Bump on both smartphones and allow permissions if prompted to do so
- On the iPhone, swipe to the "Contacts" section
- In the list of contacts, select the ones that you wish to transfer / share
- When the label "Bump now!" appears in the top-right corner, you can gently bump the two smartphones together
- Tap "Connect" in the dialog pop-up and allow the two handsets to communicate
- A copy of the contacts should now be sent to your One Mini from the cloud
