Setting Up Your Personal Email (Yahoo!):
- Tap the "Email" icon located on the home screen. (If the icon is missing, tap the "All Apps" icon and find the "Email" app in the drawer / list)
- Type in your Email address and password, then tap "Next". Note: If this isn't the first time setting up your email and you wish to add another one, then press the "Menu" key > "Settings" and tap "Add Account"
- Your handset should automatically search and find your settings.
- If this does not happen, tap "IMAP"
- Enter your "username" and "password" in the appropriate fields
- Type in "imap.mail.yahoo.com" in the "IMAP server" list
- press "Security type" and tap "SSL / TLS"
- Enter "993" in the "Port" field then tap "Next"
- Enter "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" in the "SMTP server" field
- Select "SSL / TLS" in the "Security type" drop-down menu
- Enter "465" in the "Port" field then tap "Next"
- Tap the "Inbox checking frequency" field and select the desired option
- Tap "Next" when ready
- Enter "Yahoo! IMAP" as the account name
- Type in your name as it should appear on outgoing emails
- Tap "Next". Your "Yahoo! IMAP" account is now set up
Setting Up Your Personal Email (Gmail):
- While on the home screen, tap the "All Apps" icon
- Select "Gmail"
- Tap "Existing" if you already have a Gmail account
- Enter your login information and tap the "Next" icon
- Read the "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" and then tap "OK"
- Read the "Backup and restore" message and tap "Next"
- Select "Sync now"
Setting Up Exchange Email:
- Tap the "Email" icon located on the home screen. (If it's missing, you'll find it in the apps drawer)
- Enter your email address and password in the appropriate field, then tap "Next"
- Select "Microsoft Exchange"
- Enter the "Server" and "Domain" information provided by the email administrator. If required, check the "SSL" option and then tap "Next"
- Set the Account Settings preferences as you see fit then tap "Next"
- Type in a name for your account and press "Next". Your Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account should now be set up
Changing Microsoft Exchange Settings:
- Tap the "Email" icon located on the home screen
- Press the "Menu" key on your device
- Select "Settings"
- Tap the desired Exchange account and then set the following as you see fit:
- Under "Data usage", tap "Inbox check frequency" and select the desired option
- Tap "Enable Peak-Time" to mark or unmark the checkbox
- Select "Frequency during Peak-Time" and set the desired peak-time frequency
- Select "Frequency during Off Peak-Time" and select the desired option
- Scroll to and press "Days to Sync", then select the number of days of email to sync
- Mark or unmark the checkboxes associated with the rest of the options such as "Download attachments", "Sync calendar" etc.
Finding Email Settings:
- Tap the "Email" icon located on the home screen
- Press the "Menu" button on your device
- Select "Settings"
- Select the desired Email account
- Tap "Incoming settings"
- The incoming email settings are now displayed. Tap "Done" to close the window
- Tap "Outgoing settings" to view the outgoing email settings. Press "Done" when finished
Removing an Email Account:
- While on the home screen, press the "Email" icon
- Tap the "Menu" key on your device
- Go to "Settings"
- Select the desired account
- Scroll down and tap "Remove account"
- Press "OK" in the confirmation pop-up window
Sending or Receiving an Email:
- Access the "Email" app
- To create a new email:
- Press the "Compose" icon located at the lower-left corner of the screen
- Tap the "To" field and type in the name / email address of your recipient
- Tap the "Subject" field and enter a subject
- Type in your email in the "Message" field
- If you wish to add an attachment, tap the "Menu" button on your device and select "Attach file" > Select a file type > Select an application to complete the action with. Then tap an album and select the file that you wish to attach
- Press "Send" when ready
- To Refresh and Read Inbound Emails:
- Tap the "Refresh" icon located in the lower-right corner of the display
- If the email contains an attachment, tap it and select "Save" or "View"
- To create a new email:
