Conserve Battery Life by Switching from a Live Wallpaper:

Live wallpapers usually consume more battery because they require more work from the CPU, GPU etc. in order to render properly. If you're experiencing low battery life after applying a live wallpaper, you should consider changing it. To do so:

    1. Tap the "Menu" button while viewing a home screen
    2. Select "System settings"
    3. Tap "Display" under "Device"
    4. Go to "Wallpaper" and select "Wallpapers"
    5. Browse through your wallpapers and tap "Set wallpaper" when viewing the desired one. Note: at step 4 you can also choose "Gallery" if you wish to browse your own images and set one of them as a wallpaper.

Deactivating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile Hotspot While Not in Use:

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile hotspot are oftentimes the main battery drainers, so it's highly recommended that you disable these features when not in use. To do so:

    1. Press the "Menu" key on your device while viewing a home screen
    2. Tap "System settings"
    3. Tap the switches associated with "Wi-Fi" and "Bluetooth" in order to bring them in the "Off" position
    4. Tap "More"
    5. Select "Tethering & portable hotspot"
    6. Tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" to unmark the checkbox and disable mobile hotspot

Disabling GPS and Stopping Unused Services:

GPS is also one of the biggest battery drainers on your smartphone, so it is highly recommended to keep this feature disabled unless you use it for navigation and other similar apps. To disable GPS:

    1. While viewing a home screen, press the "Menu" key on your device
    2. Go to "System settings"
    3. Under "Personal", tap "Location access"
    4. Unmark the "GPS satellites" checkbox
    5. Press the "Back" key on your device
    6. To disable unused services, select "Apps" in the system settings screen
    7. Swipe left or right to access the "Running" tab
    8. Tap the desired application or service
    9. In the "Running app" menu, press the "Stop" button

    Disabling Haptic Feedback (Vibration):

    1. Press the "Menu" key while viewing a home screen
    2. Under "Device", select "Sound"
    3. Unmark the "Vibrate when ringing" checkbox
    4. Scroll down and unmark the checkbox associated with "Vibrate on touch"

    Changing Account Sync Settings:

You might be able to slightly increase battery life by setting your account(s) to sync less information, or to sync less often. To do so:

    1. Press the "Menu" key while viewing a home screen and go to "System settings"
    2. Under "Accounts", select the desired account. (For this example, we'll use "Google")
    3. Select your account
    4. Unmark the desired syncing options
    5. Press the "Home" key to return to the home screen

    Checking for Software Updates:

You will not increase battery life by regularly checking for new software updates. However, if you are experiencing low battery life after an update, then chances are that a hotfix should be on the way soon. To check for software updates:

    1. Tap the "Menu" key while viewing a home screen
    2. Go to "System settings"
    3. Under "System", select "System update"
    4. Tap "Update Kyocera software"
    5. If an update is available, you will be prompted with on-screen instructions on how to download and apply it. If not, then press "OK" in the pop-up.
