I still cant seem to get it to see my phone

I bought my cable off of ebay, has anyone had any problems not getting the cable to operate correctly,Im not sure who the manufacturer of the cable is, but I installed the supplied drivers and I cant get it to see my phone,
It will say cannot detect port?

Do I need to buy another cable or what?

You don't know what kind of cable it is?? You might have the wrong cable. How will you know unless you knew who makes it though... try and find that out (what kind of cable it is)

You need to get your cable from Radio Shack, made by Future Dial. for LG phones. Do not buy the software that they will try to sell you. Its useless. After you get the correct driver installed, try auto detect, if that dosent work try using com port 5. That is how i got mine to work. I would suggest using Bitpim 7.18, new release, i used them all, i havent had a bit of trouble out of 7.18.
get it at Bitpim.com, be sure and get the offical version. Any questions e-mail me.

BTW: The cables that sell on E-Bay usually dont work. Not sure why??

I called radio shack and they didnt have a cable for the vx 6000,
Is it for a different phone, also this is the cable that I bought, or I should say that its the person I bought it from, but my cable doesnt have the box on it, Does anyone know if they have gotten this brand to work?

call radio shacks in other cities, or have them order you one.
You need that filter or whatever it is i know that much. I havent heard of anyone having much luck with the ones off of E-Bay, but you can try it if you like.
