hello, first time poster. just bought a lg vx9800 last week and i'm loving it so far. just 3 quick questions (i'm sure i'll have more)

i know for the front and main screens you can set how long the backlight stays on (7, 15, 30 sec etc). however, after the backlight turns off, and the screen goes dim, the front screen then completely turns off in about 60-90 seconds after the last keypress. is there any way to make this stay on all the time, without setting the backlight to always on? ie. i don't really want to burn through the batteries with the backlight always on, but i would like at least the dimmed lights to be on all the time, so i can at least use the phone as a clock.

second, on my old phone, and it seems like most phones, when you hit the Send button, it usually brings up your list of recent outgoing calls. however, with the vx9800, hitting the Send button brings up a list of all your calls, incoming and outgoing. is there any way to customize this, or just switch it to outgoing only?

finally, is there any way to set the ring tone to be vibrate first, and after several seconds, then turn to ring? i had that on my old phone, and it would just be nice to be able to have the phone vibrate first and give me a chance of picking up the call without the ringing. right now i've only seen the option to have the phone both ring and vibrate at the same time.

    thanks for any help

I have had the same phone for about 6 months and I think I understand exactly what you are asking, and I don't think there is a solution to any of your questions.

I was really excited about the "V" at first, but now am really disappointed. They came really close with this one, but there are too many silly things that make this phone much less than it could be...

    Good luck,
    -Keith
