VX7000 Car Kit Mode?

hey guys my dad has the LG VX7000...and today he took it out of his pocket and it is blinking CAR KIT on the main screen...how do you get it out of that mode?

Car kit mode mean that he has gotten the phone wet (this info thanks to tony). There really is nothing that can be done. You can try and dry the phone out and see if it disappears....if not, only other option is to buy a new phone. Sorry!

If it is any help....just a couple of days ago, my husbands phone went into car kit mode. He could not make any calls or receive them, rendering his phone useless. He had NOT gotten it wet. He has an LG VX4500. Verizon Tech Support noticed one of the pins in the bottom of the phone where it gets recharged was bent. My husband messed with it a little bit and now it works again like new. Saved us quite a few bucks, not to mention time.

Don't know if this'll work for your situation or not, just wanted to let you know how we got around our problem.

Did the car kit mode disappear from his main screen when he fixed the problem?

Yes, it did. After I got home from the Verizon store where the tech had told me the phone would need to be replaced, my husband saw where one of the pins was scrunched. He straightened it out and when he turned the phone back on, it no longer indicated 'car kit mode'. Voila!
