I receintly moved from an area served by Alltell where I had an LG AX5000 camera phone. Quest refuses to program the phone to their service and provided an inferrior Sanyo SCP-2400 instead.

How can I program the LG AX 5000 to my present service?

To my understanding, I'm afraid you can't, unless if you're amazingly adept with cell phones.

    Sorry!

Unfortunately, even if you could get the phone activated on the new network, it would not work out very well for you. You would not be able to use any of the features, including the web browser and other network specific features.

All I am looking for is phone service. I don't subscribe or care for anything else. The LG has better memory for storing things like home and office address of contacts etc. The battery goes longer between charges, and it does have the camera, which I have only used to amuse my grandkids.

I'm sorry, but I don't think it's a good idea. Not only will Qwest probably not activate it, it won't get that good of service. CDMA phones are like old dogs. They can't learn new tricks or get used to new owners very well.

I honestly think it's best you start with a new phone. If you don't want to spend too much, the Sanyo 3100 is a REALLY good phone, and so is the Samsung A640. If you're looking for a deluxe phone, the Sanyo Katana or Nokia 6165i are not bad choices, either.

I'm sorry you can't use your old phone, but I think it's best that you don't.
