My LG CU500 won't read my card

I tried everything and it won't read it it keeps saying card not ready and I want to put some mp3 songs (512 mb) but it wont work any help is appreciated. thanks

does the card work when you put it in your pc? Is it formatted correctly for the phone?

yeah it works when I put it on my PC well my phone is for
CIngular and how would I formatted for my phone?

i had the exact same problem yesterday. i tried 2gb, 64gb, and a 32gb (wasn't sure if 2gb would be accepted. not). anyway, i got the exact same messages two. what i believe ultimately worked was going into the MENU, SETTINGS, RESET SETTINGS, RESET DEFAULT.

After i did that, the phone recognized my card 64gb card and the wma's and mp3's i had placed on it, the night before.
