My phone keeps crashing. I attempt to make a phone call and the stupid thing just powers off. It does this too when I receive phone calls or answer phone messages. Sometimes they get through, sometimes not.

What can I do? The phone comp said my phone is ok.

You have taken this phone in to your Verizon Store and they are saying there is nothing wrong with the phone?

My LG VX 8100 turns off when I open the phone sometimes but I am learning to deal with it. My phone is closed in my pocket and I take it out to do something and when I open it the screen shows the Verizon Wireless page like it's restarting. It comes back on and I continue to do what I was going to do. You just got to get used to it like I did. I am elgible for a upgrade on the 4th of October but I am planning on waiting to see when the LG VX 81000 comes out. I haven't read much about it so I don't know if it's going to come out in a few months. I hope it comes out before the holiday season because if I wait any longer I don't know what they will do once my contract ends.

I am not sure what phone you are actually referring to, but I know why you haven't read much about it... there is no such thing as the VX81000.

As for your intermittent shut off issue, you should check to see if there is a software update available from Verizon. You are probably running a much earlier revision (you have had the phone for almost 2 years now) and it may be causing the problems you are having.

    Re: VX8100 Crashing

My bad. I was about to leave for class the other day when I was typing and I don't know why I said the LG VX 81000 or what ever the heck I said. I meant the LG VX 10000. I will just wait and see when that phone comes out and maybe get that one for my upgrade. I got a refurbished phone I guess because my original LG VX 8100 wasn't charging anymore. The charger connection piece fell out. I am probably just running on old software. The next time I go by the Verizon store I will see if they can update my phone with newer versions of the software.
