Hey guys, new to cellforums. I just recently purchased the LG Imprint, as my incognito decided it was done working.

Love the hardware, but the software is severely crippled by metro pcs's limitations.

I have an idea, but need some things to work with in order to get started.

The LG Imprint is a clone of the LG Remarq, availible on sprint. This sprint version is Java compatible, a major feature missing from the Metro pcs counterpart.

My thought is that provided the firmware file for a remarq, I could flash the software onto my device, while maintaining my PRL lists and network settings. This could open up a world of new features for users of this watered down handset.

This being said, if anyone has this firmware file, or a place to point me to as to where to obtain it, as well as a software I could use to do the actual flashing, it would be much appreciated.

Also, the question of downloading any files to this handset seems to be a popular one across the web, as I have found. Unfortunately, using the Default firmware, downloading has been disabled from numerous sites.

The sprint firmware which i wish to load to my device does support downloads of many types, including the very useful m.getjar.com . I have used this version of the software on other handsets. (Sanyo Juno)
