I would like to know what users of the LG Optimus V think about...
1- the sound quality, especially the speakerphone.
2- Is the battery life as bad as the reviews imply?
2a- Is it worth buying a second battery as a backup?
3- Are there good ways to extend battery life, such as Task Killer, etc?
4- Is the soft-screen susceptible to scratches?
5- Would it be smarter to wait for the next generation of LG Optimus and what is the expected time line and improvements?

I'm leaning towards buying this phone through Virgin as a pre-paid plan, as I don't use the cell phone a lot and am currently dissatisfied with AT&T's lousy coverage/deadspots. Sound quality / loudness / clarity is very important to me, as is a good coverage, a decent camera (still and video with sound).

Virgin seems to have a lot of good things going for, based on the reviews I've read regarding
no-contract phones. My other choice, since I am still with AT&T would be the LG Thrive.
