LG Esteem pictures disappeared

I have an LG Esteem (MetroPCS) Over 1,000 pictures have vanished from my gallery (this includes pics taken from the camera, downloaded, facebook and etc), my video recordings, voice recordings and memo notess are all gone. I don't remember having an external SD card, but I have a couple of green & white android application icons and gray android application icons (w/ SD on it). Although I can see the icons once I press it, it says applications not installed on this phone. Even the voice on the navigation is now different. However my texts, contacts and everything is there. I have not changed or done anything to the phone, with the exception it was recently dropped. What happened? What can I do about it? Did I have am external SD and didn't know it and it fell out...Help! Can I get my pics back?

For Tutorials on your phone, search it on google or youtube; remove and reinstall the card. It probably fell loose.

It's an LG Esteem. I don't have an external SD card to my knowledge and never did. I thought possibly when I dropped if there was one and it popped out. Or is there like and internal SD possibly

Take a pic, save it and see where it ends up. Your card probably fell out

The microSD card is under the back cover. If there is one in there it's possible that it got knocked loose when you dropped it.

Here is the problem...I never bought an external SD card and installed it. I see where it is supposed to go but never paid much attention to it. I saw some other posts talking about an internal SD...what is it? Can my pics possibly be there?

You have internal memory but that isn't an sd card and is not removable. It sounds like something was damaged when you dropped it. I've never heard of files being lost like that though.

when i go into the application manager, there is a button to see applocations On SD Card (SD card storage) is reads 11MB used and 4.0GB free. I know for sure there is no SD card in the phone right now
