Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Use the USB cable to connect the LG G3 to your computer
- Tap "Media sync (MTP)" when prompted. Otherwise, tap the option from the "Notification" panel
- On the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" in the "AutoPlay" window
- Launch a second Windows Explorer window, and navigate to the audio files stored on your computer
- Copy the audio files that you wish to use as ringtones or notifications
- Paste the files on your phone's storage. NOTE: you should transfer the files in the "Ringtones", "Notifications" folders etc.
- Once the transfer is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
- You can now safely disconnect your smartphone from the computer
Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:
- Make sure you've transferred the desired audio files in the "Ringtones" folder
- Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Go to "Sound"
- Under "Ringtone & Notifications", tap "Phone ringtone"
- Select the audio file that you wish to set as a ringtone. NOTE: fresh items copied in the "Ringtones" folder will appear under "My Ringtones"
Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:
- After transferring the desired audio files in the "Ringtones" folder, launch the "Contacts" app
- Select the contact that you want to edit
- Tap "edit" and touch the "Ringtone" drop-down menu
- Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"
- Tap "Save" to confirm
Changing the Notification Sounds:
- Make sure you've transferred the desired audio files in the "Notifications" folder
- Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Sound"
- Scroll down to "System" and tap "Notification sound"
- Tap the audio file you wish to use as the notification sound. NOTE: the items transferred in the "Notifications" folder will appear under "My Notifications"
- If you can't select a notification sound because the box is grayed out, you need to change the "Sound Profile" from "Silent" to "Sound"
