Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Use the USB cable to connect the LG G3 to your computer
  2. Tap "Media sync (MTP)" when prompted. Otherwise, tap the option from the "Notification" panel
  3. On the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" in the "AutoPlay" window
  4. Launch a second Windows Explorer window, and navigate to the audio files stored on your computer
  5. Copy the audio files that you wish to use as ringtones or notifications
  6. Paste the files on your phone's storage. NOTE: you should transfer the files in the "Ringtones", "Notifications" folders etc.
  7. Once the transfer is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  8. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  9. You can now safely disconnect your smartphone from the computer

Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:

  1. Make sure you've transferred the desired audio files in the "Ringtones" folder
  2. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
  3. Tap "Settings"
  4. Go to "Sound"
  5. Under "Ringtone & Notifications", tap "Phone ringtone"
  6. Select the audio file that you wish to set as a ringtone. NOTE: fresh items copied in the "Ringtones" folder will appear under "My Ringtones"

Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:

  1. After transferring the desired audio files in the "Ringtones" folder, launch the "Contacts" app
  2. Select the contact that you want to edit
  3. Tap "edit" and touch the "Ringtone" drop-down menu
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"
  5. Tap "Save" to confirm

Changing the Notification Sounds:

  1. Make sure you've transferred the desired audio files in the "Notifications" folder
  2. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
  3. Tap "Settings" > "Sound"
  4. Scroll down to "System" and tap "Notification sound"
  5. Tap the audio file you wish to use as the notification sound. NOTE: the items transferred in the "Notifications" folder will appear under "My Notifications"
  6. If you can't select a notification sound because the box is grayed out, you need to change the "Sound Profile" from "Silent" to "Sound"
