Backing Up Applications using LG Backup:

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Launch "LG Backup"
  3. In case this is the first time opening the app, review the on-screen information
  4. Tap "Agree" after reviewing the "End User License Agreement"
  5. Tap "Manual backup" and select a location for the backup file
  6. Tap "Next" > "New Backup". NOTE: to replace an older backup file tap "Overwrite" instead
  7. Type in the desired name for the backup file
  8. Tap "Next"
  9. Mark the "Download apps" and "LG Apps" check box
  10. Tap "Backup" and press "OK" to confirm

NOTE: After the backup file has been created, you should connect the LG Realm to your computer via USB and transfer it to your computer's HDD, otherwise it may be lost when master resetting etc.

Backing Up Contacts via LG Backup:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch the "LG Backup" app. If applicable, read the EULA message and tap "Agree"
  3. Tap "Manual backup"
  4. Select the location for the backup file and tap "Next"
  5. Tap "New Backup", or select "Overwrite" to replace an existing backup file
  6. Type in the desired name for the backup file and press "Next"
  7. Mark the "Backup" and "Personal data" check box
  8. Tap "OK"

NOTE: After the backup file is created, connect the LG Realm to your PC and transfer the file on the computer's hard drive

Backing Up Media Files using a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG Realm to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, tap "Media sync (MTP)"
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the PC, click to "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  4. Locate the media files stored on your smartphone
  5. Copy the desired files
  6. Navigate to the backup location on your computer and paste the files there
  7. Once the transfer is done, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  8. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  9. You can now disconnect your LG Realm from the PC
