Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Access the "General" tab
  4. Swipe to "Phone management" and tap "Battery"
  5. Tap "Battery saver" and set the switch to "ON"
  6. To customize how Battery saver works, mark or clear the check boxes
  7. Select the battery percentage at which Battery saver enables automatically

Lower the Screen brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Tap the "Display" tab
  4. Tap "Brightness" under "Other screen settings"
  5. Move the brightness slider towards the left
  6. Select a lower timeout value, such as "15 seconds"

Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Hotspot:

NOTE: By disabling your phone's connectivity features when they are not in use you can increase battery performance on the long run. To disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:

  1. Tap "Apps" and go to "Settings"
  2. Access the "Networks" tab
  3. Tap "Tethering & networks" under "Connectivity"
  4. Tap "Mobile hotspot" and disable the feature
  5. Press "Back" and return to "Settings"
  6. Tap the switches next to "Bluetooth" and "Wi-Fi" to disable these features
  7. Access the "General" tab and swipe to "Personal"
  8. Tap "Location" > "Mode" > "Battery saving (Networks only)"

Change the Sync Settings of Apps:

NOTE: By setting your apps to sync less data or less often, you can prolong your phone's battery life on the long run.

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" and access the "General" tab
  3. Under "Personal" tap "Accounts & sync"
  4. Clear the check box next to "Auto-sync data"
  5. Under "Accounts" select the desired one and adjust the sync settings for each account

Disable Background Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer and go to "Settings"
  2. Access the "Networks" tab and tap "Mobile data"
  3. Press "Menu" and check the "Restrict background data" check box
  4. Tap "OK" to confirm

Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" and access the "General" tab
  3. Under "Phone management" tap "Apps"
  4. Access the "Downloaded" tab
  5. Tap and hold the desired app and select "Force stop"
  6. Tap "Uninstall" to remove the software

Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

  1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Access the "Networks" tab
  3. Under "Connectivity" tap "Tethering & Networks"
  4. Tap "Mobile network" and select "Use only 2G networks"

Keep Your Phone Up to Date:

NOTE: Software updates can sometimes improve your phone's battery life, so it's recommended to keep your phone's operating system up to date. To check for updates:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" > "General"
  3. Under "Phone management" tap "About phone"
  4. Tap "Update Center" > "System updates"
  5. Tap "Check for Updates" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the operation
