Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Tap "Apps" on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Access the "General" tab
- Swipe to "Phone management" and tap "Battery"
- Tap "Battery saver" and set the switch to "ON"
- To customize how Battery saver works, mark or clear the check boxes
- Select the battery percentage at which Battery saver enables automatically
Lower the Screen brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Tap "Apps" on the home screen
- Go to "Settings"
- Tap the "Display" tab
- Tap "Brightness" under "Other screen settings"
- Move the brightness slider towards the left
- Select a lower timeout value, such as "15 seconds"
Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Hotspot:
NOTE: By disabling your phone's connectivity features when they are not in use you can increase battery performance on the long run. To disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:
- Tap "Apps" and go to "Settings"
- Access the "Networks" tab
- Tap "Tethering & networks" under "Connectivity"
- Tap "Mobile hotspot" and disable the feature
- Press "Back" and return to "Settings"
- Tap the switches next to "Bluetooth" and "Wi-Fi" to disable these features
- Access the "General" tab and swipe to "Personal"
- Tap "Location" > "Mode" > "Battery saving (Networks only)"
Change the Sync Settings of Apps:
NOTE: By setting your apps to sync less data or less often, you can prolong your phone's battery life on the long run.
- Tap "Apps" on the home screen
- Go to "Settings" and access the "General" tab
- Under "Personal" tap "Accounts & sync"
- Clear the check box next to "Auto-sync data"
- Under "Accounts" select the desired one and adjust the sync settings for each account
Disable Background Data:
- Open the apps drawer and go to "Settings"
- Access the "Networks" tab and tap "Mobile data"
- Press "Menu" and check the "Restrict background data" check box
- Tap "OK" to confirm
Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:
- Tap "Apps" on the home screen
- Go to "Settings" and access the "General" tab
- Under "Phone management" tap "Apps"
- Access the "Downloaded" tab
- Tap and hold the desired app and select "Force stop"
- Tap "Uninstall" to remove the software
Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:
- Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
- Access the "Networks" tab
- Under "Connectivity" tap "Tethering & Networks"
- Tap "Mobile network" and select "Use only 2G networks"

- Tap "Apps" on the home screen
- Go to "Settings" > "General"
- Under "Phone management" tap "About phone"
- Tap "Update Center" > "System updates"
- Tap "Check for Updates" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the operation
