Back Up Applications:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Device”
  5. Enable “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Tap “Menu” and switch to “List view” if necessary
  4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  6. Tap “Back up data” and select “LG Cloud”
  7. Sign in to your LG Account if prompted
  8. Select “Personal data” and deselect all the other options
  9. Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is selected
  10. Tap “Start” and wait for the process to complete
  11. At the “Back up completed” message, tap “Done”

Back Up Data to the SD Card:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Switch to “List view” from the “Menu” if necessary
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Device”
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  5. Tap “Back up data” and enable “SD Card”
  6. Select the items you want to back up
  7. Tap “Start” and at the “Backup completed” message, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “List view"
  4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  6. Enable “Media data” and deselect all the other options
  7. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the desired media files
  8. Tap “Start”
  9. At the “Back up completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files Using Your Computer:

  1. Connect the LG V10 to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, select “Media sync (MTP)”
  3. Open an Explorer window on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on your phone, or the desired “.sbf” backup file
  5. Copy the desired items and paste them in the desired backup location on the computer
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect it from the computer
