Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the LG Tribute 5.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
  3. Once connected, click the iPhone in iTunes
  4. Go to the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts”
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or if available, click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to end
  8. Once done, switch to the LG device, register the same Google account used in iTunes, and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Access “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
  7. Once done, import the file to “Google Contacts” or alternatively:
  8. Connect the LG Tribute 5 to your PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use the “Import” option in the “Contacts” app to add the vCard to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can use third party apps to transfer your contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Once the backup file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email containing the vCard backup file as an attachment
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the LG Tribute 5, open the email, and download the attached vCard file
  7. Use the “Contacts” app on the LG device to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (iOS and Android) which can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files over a peer-to-peer connection, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the app on the LG Tribute 5
  3. Open the app on both handsets
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Tap “Send”
  7. Lastly, select a transfer method. You can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the LG device’s camera, or tap “Receive” on the LG Tribute 5 and manually enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
