Clear App Cache / Data:
NOTE: In case one of your third party applications doesnt work as it should or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these problems by clearing the applications cache / data.
WARNING! When clearing an apps data, all personal information stored within the app, such as login and credit card information, profiles, saved games, settings, high scores etc. will be deleted. As such, its recommended to try fixing the problems by clearing only the apps cache. By doing so you will avoid losing personal information.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Access the Settings menu
- Go to the General tab if necessary
- Under Phone Management, tap Apps
- Access the Downloaded or All screen
- Select the desired application
- Tap Clear cache
- If wiping the cache didnt help, you can tap Clear data > Yes
Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an App:
NOTE: If youve installed a third party app that causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to easily uninstall the app from within Safe Mode. To reboot your phone in Safe Mode:
- Wake up the screen
- Press and hold the Power key
- From the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- When prompted to Restart in safe mode, tap OK
- After the phone restarts, a Safe Mode label should be displayed in the lower-left area of the home screen
- Once in safe mode, open the Settings
- If necessary, access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone management and tap Apps
- Go to Downloaded and select the desired application
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit safe mode, simply press and hold Power and reboot your phone as you normally would
Wipe the Phones Cache:
NOTE: In case your phone freezes, crashes etc. or runs out of storage inexplicably, you can fry fixing these issues by clearing the devices cache. Doing so can have similar effects as a factory reset without losing any of your personal data.
- Access the Settings menu
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Storage
- Wait for the device to finish calculating data
- Tap Clear data > Yes
NOTE: If clearing the cache didnt solve the issues, you can try factory resetting the phone instead. Visit this thread for instructions on how you can factory reset the LG K10.
