Back Up App Data:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
  2. Tap “Settings” in the top-right corner
  3. Go to “General”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Enable “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:

  1. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap “Settings” and go to “General”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & Restore”
  5. Tap “Back up data”
  6. Select “LG Cloud”
  7. At the prompt, sign in with your “LG Account” and enable “Personal data”
  8. Deselect the other options and expand the “Personal data” directory
  9. Make sure “Contacts” is selected and tap “Start”
  10. At the “Back up completed” prompt, tap “Done”

Back Up Contacts to the SD Card:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “General”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
  4. Tap “Backup & restore”
  5. Tap “Back up data” and make sure “SD card” is checked
  6. Select the desired items and tap “Start”
  7. At the “Backup completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:

  1. Slide the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” and access the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  5. Enable “Media data” and deselect the other non-media options
  6. Expand the “Media data” directory
  7. Select the media files you want to back up and tap “Start”
  8. When prompted with “Backup completed” tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG X Screen to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, enable “Media File (MTP)” / “File transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Use the Explorer to navigate to the media files located on your phone
  5. Copy the media files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
  7. Safely disconnect the LG X Screen from the USB cord
